Structure

An irregular deposit of twelve pieces of mixed brushwood and occasional twigs on the field surface (L 2.72m min.; Wth 1.12m min.; D 0.07m). The pieces of brushwood have a similar NE-SW orientation trend apart from one piece at the W extent which is orientated E-W. The twigs underlie the brushwood. This site is in poorly to moderately humified Sphagnum peat with occasional Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. It is located 0.06m below the hurdle SMR OF019-035----, which is 0.2m to the S. SMR OF019-034---- and SMR OF019-036---- are located within 5m. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2002. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
