Structure

A dispersed spread of light brushwood on the field surface (L 8.5m; Wth 0.7m; D 0.08m). The majority of the elements are orientated NW-SE with a single piece running perpendicular to these. The site is very fragmentary and may represent the remains of a more substantial structure. It is in a moderate condition with a single chisel point present. This site lies in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2002. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
