Structure

Two light roundwoods and one piece of light brushwood on the field surface (L 1.2m; Wth 1.21m; D 0.04m). The wood is parallel and one piece deep. The piece of brushwood is directly beside one of the roundwoods, which are 0.35m apart and both have metal-cut wedge points with slightly concave facets. The site is in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2002. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
