Structure

Two light roundwoods and three pieces of light brushwood on the field surface (L 1.4m min.; Wth 0.81m; D 0.09m). The wood is irregularly laid, widely spaced and two pieces deep. The wood is desiccated and has suffered machine damage. It lies in moderately to well-humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum. SMR OF019-028---- is 2.5m to the W and SMR OF019-026---- is 3.2m to the E. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2002. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
