Structure

A single piece of brushwood (L 3.2m; diam. 0.055m) on the field surface. It has a metal-cut toolmark and is in moderate condition. It lies in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with a large amount of Eriophorum and some ericaceous remains. SMR OF019-049---- is 2.8m to the NW. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2002. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
