What is recorded here

A dispersed arrangement of three roundwoods and two pieces of light brushwood (Wth 0.63m; D 0.8m). The pieces are orientated in E-W with the birch roundwood (diam. 0.07-0.075m) situated c. 0.12-0.17m apart. The brushwood lies slightly below the level of the roundwoods with no clear structural association. The site is situated in moderately humified Sphagnum peat and is overlain with moderately humified Sphagnum and Eriophorum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
