Structure in Marshes Upper

A variety of pits, ditches, post-holes and hearths were discovered during the development of playing pitches at Dundalk Institute of Technology (Excavation Licence No. 02E0008). They were recorded and preserved in situ. Flint finds indicate late Neolithic activity while other finds show medieval, post-medieval and later presence at the site.
