Structure in Kilcloony (dunmore By.)

Kilcloony Castle still casts its shadow across the southeast bawn, where a narrow rectangular structure waits beneath grass and memory. FitzPatrick drew a broader square enclosure in that same sector, suggesting the castle once commanded a wider courtyard or workshop than modern eyes expect. The building may have stored tools, housed servants, or marked a boundary now forgotten. Its exact purpose has faded, but its shape remains clear enough to challenge the idea that castles stood alone.
