What is recorded here
Situated on level ground, formerly used as pasture, near the summit of Kilbreckan hill. Excavated in 2002 as part of the Bord Gáis Éireann Pipeline to the West project (Licence no. 02E1059). Four post-holes and two larger post-holes or pits relating to a possibly circular 19th-century structure were excavated. The function of the structure was not apparent but the artefacts discovered indicated domestic activity. (Hull 2004, 44)
