What is recorded here
Uncovered in 2006 during an archaeological excavation carried out by UCD School of Archaeology (Excavation Licence 04E1192). A narrow, curving cut feature was discovered in the subsoil of the laneway at the enclosure entrance, the excavators suggest that this may represent 'a potential earlier medieval, or even possible prehistoric structure' (O'Sullivan and Warren 2009; 563-5).
