Five small post-built chambers clustered in Balgatheran, County Louth, serving both everyday life and ritual before road works exposed them. One measured 2.5m by 2.4m, yet the group yielded 238 Grooved Ware sherds, thirty flint scrapers, a polished axe fragment and burnt bone. People may have cooked, gathered and performed ceremonies beside these modest timber frames, blending domestic routine with sacred attention in the same narrow space.

Discovered prior to road construction (Excavation Licence No. 00E0905). This structure (2.5m x 2.4m) was defined by four post-pits and it along with four others (see LH021-071----, LH021-081----, LH021-082---- and LH021-083----) appeared to have both domestic and ritual functions. A large assemblage of artefacts was recovered from the area of the five structures including 238 sherds of Grooved Ware which represented at least 23 individual pots, 30 flint scrapers, a large collection of flint débitage, a fragment of a polished stone axe and a small quantity of burnt bone.
