Stroan Loch

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Stroan Loch as Stone Circle (neolithic) - (bronze Age). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 100m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Stroan Loch stone circle is likely from the Neolithic or Bronze Age, periods when such ritual or ceremonial sites were common in Scotland. The purpose of the circle remains unclear, but it may have been used for seasonal gatherings, astronomical observations, or spiritual practices.
