What is recorded here

Wall-mounted cast-iron ward boundary marker, ----. Set in roughcast wall.
A ward boundary marker representing an interesting example of cast-iron work making a pleasing, if largely inconspicuous visual statement in The Green. NOTE: The ward boundary marker owes its origins to the Charter granted to Wexford in 1846 following the abolition of thirty-eight boroughs under the Municipal Corporations (Ireland) Act, 1840 (cf. 15500056; 15502058; 15502123).

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
