Strawberryhill Fort is a faint thirty-six-metre circular rise in Galway pasture, overlooking dark bogland on both sides. A forgotten fosse still ghosts the grass outside its barely visible rim. The fort has surrendered most of its shape to time, leaving only a subtle swelling where human hands once bent earth into a circle. It is the kind of place that resists description, presenting a hidden boundary instead of a grand monument.

On a slight rise in undulating pastureland overlooking bogland to N and S. Marked on OS 6-inch maps as a circular enclosure and classified by Neary (1914, 123, no. 153) as a 'Circular, earthen fort'. All that survives is a barely discernible rise (D c. 36m), outside of which traces of a fosse are visible.
