Strathmore

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Strathmore as Motor Trawler (period Unassigned)-(1915). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The *Strathmore* was a motor trawler built in 1915, later involved in World War II as a minesweeper. It was lost in 1940 after striking a mine off the Scottish coast, resulting in the deaths of all 34 crew members; its wreck remains a war grave and a significant site in maritime and military history.
