What is recorded here

Three rounded granite stones still mark the ridge summit in Ballynahinch, decreasing from a shattered southern block to a smaller northern oval. They form a narrow northern line only 5.75m long, large enough to be seen from a distance but small enough to walk around in moments. Anyone who placed them there may have used the ridge as a boundary, a meeting point or a warning, while the broken southern stone suggests the line has already survived one violent change.

The N stone is oval in plan (H 0.85m), centre stone is subrectangular (H 0.9m) and S stone, which is shattered, was originally rectangular (H c. 1.5m).
