Stone-faced rath in Brackenagh West, County Down: a ring fort whose boundary still carries the mark of built stone. Early Christian dates and official mapping keep the site named, but the shape belongs to people who moved soil, carried rock and made a place worth returning to. The face of stone may have been pride, warning or prayer. Under the grass that boundary still waits to be read.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as STONE-FACED RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
