Stone Circle

In level pasture. Described in OS Name Book (1842) as 'a circle of gallauns' three of which are still standing and one lying prostrate and is commonly called a stone circle in other parts of the country'. No visible surface trace. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
