Triple-arch road bridge, built c.1840, crossing Bandon River. Elliptical arched openings set in rubble limestone construction with ashlar voussoirs, string course, piers, buttresses and U-cutwaters. Chamfered concrete coping to parapet walls.
This road bridge has an important function as a crossing point over the River Bandon, giving access to Dunmanway town to the south. Its detailed design and the survival of original fabric demonstrate the quality of nineteenth century craftsmanship.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
