Stone circle

In rolling pasture, on S side and near headwaters of Bandon river. Circle complete; N entrance stone fallen inwards, interior filled with field stones. Orthostats are 0.6m to 1m L, 0.35m to 0.5m T and 0.6m to 0.9m H. Internal measurement along main axis, aligned NE-SW, is 3m. Likely dating to the Neolithic or early Bronze Age, this five-stone circle may have functioned as a ceremonial or ritual site, possibly aligned with seasonal or astronomical events.
