Stob Coire an Lochain rises to approximately 887 metres and is part of the Grampian Mountains, composed primarily of metamorphic and igneous rocks from the Caledonian orogeny. It is a subsidiary top of Beinn a' Bhùird and is valued for its remote character and scenic prominence in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.
