Just off the S-facing crest of an E-W ridge. According to local information a stone (dims 0.3m x 0.2m; L 1m), now lying on the E-W field bank c. 50m W of the rath (RO022-121----), once stood upright c. 100m to the SW of the rath.

Derryquirk standing stone likely dates to the Bronze Age and may have had ritual or territorial significance, possibly linked to the nearby rath. Such stones were often used as markers, ceremonial objects, or astronomical alignments.
