That is the kind of story which is hard to believe but true.

In pasture on ground sloping gently down from an adjacent roadway at W. Views restricted uphill to the S and W but wide views of rolling countryside to N and E. A granite standing stone orientated NNE-SSW rises from a rectangular base (H 1.2m, L 0.51, D 0.25m). As it rises the stone projects out at NE to a curving profile with a rounded top, notched at the S. Compiled by Margaret Keane 23/09/2025
