Standing stone in Tawnymucklagh

In pasture, in a natural hollow bordered on the E side by a prominent rise on top of which is a hut site (SL046-051001-), c. 30m to E. An upright roughly triangular stone (H 1.32m; 1.55m x c. 0.5m; long axis NNW-SSE) with a tapering blunt top (c. 0.5m x c. 0.25m). Probably dates to the Neolithic or Early Bronze Age, given its form and context near a hut site. It may have had a ritual or territorial function, or marked a significant landscape feature; no specific folklore is recorded.
