Muskerry stands in a sun-warmed meadow, leaning slightly north beside a hawthorn bush whose roots have packed smaller stones against its base. It faces the rolling countryside to the south, while another stone waits in an adjacent field, creating a quiet line across the land. The shape is simple, but the position suggests people once read the horizon through these markers.

In a meadow, on a very gentle S-facing slope, overlooking rolling countryside to the S. This standing stone (0.78m x 0.3m; H 1.7m) is roughly rectangular in plan and is orientated E-W. The stone, which leans slightly to the N, tapers towards the top. Medium to small stones are packed between the trunk of an adjacent hawthorn bush and the standing stone. Another standing stone (CO060-206----) is visible in an adjacent field, c. 257m to the SW. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
