What is recorded here

No visible standing stone remains in Rahanisky, County Cork, only a pasture field on a south-east facing slope where Condon recorded one in 1916 but refused to measure it because the ground had recently been tilled. The stone may have been buried, broken, moved or never properly seen, while the field continued producing grass, rain and ordinary life. What is certain is that the place once carried a marker human beings thought worth noticing, and what is lost is the marker itself.

In pasture on SE-facing slope. Condon (1916, 73) records stone in this field but did not measure it as field was 'recently tilled'. No visible surface trace.
