Mullaghroe South once held a four-foot stone with seven feet of girth, large enough to mark a boundary or warn a traveller that human law began there. It stood on J. O'Keeffe's land near cnoc a Daingin, where Bowman walked in 1934. The field has changed since then, and the stone may have been buried, broken or taken for wall make. Yet its shadow remains in the name, waiting for someone to dig through memory before digging through soil.

Bowman (1934, 270) recorded standing stone on J. O'Keeffe's; '...cnoc a Daingin... c. 4ft high by c. 7ft girth'. Exact location not known.
