Mountmusic preserves one of Ireland’s last unbroken chord fields. Its standing stone is an almost square pillar of grey light, tall enough to mark a doorway but smooth enough to disappear into memory. The region still answers when someone sings, remembers or loves without guarding the claim. What is lost elsewhere returns there because the place never stopped holding the shape of the wound.

In pasture, on lower NW slopes of Mullaghroe Hill. Stone (H 1.2m; 0.85m x 0.75m) is almost square in plan; long axis not measurable due to shape of stone.
