Standing stone in Milltown (coonagh By., Grean Ed) still pierces the pasture sky, a slender sandstone blade broken at the top and worn smooth where cattle have rubbed their flanks against it for generations. It leans slightly on its long axis, not fallen but tired, holding the memory of every animal that used it as a marker, a scratch post, or a boundary between fields and folklore. The stone does not need a name on a map to be real; it is real in the muscle memory of the herd and the quiet attention of the land.

On a gentle NE-facing slope, in improved pasture, 35m SE of a townland boundary with Ballyphilip. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Monument surveyed by the ASI in 2008 and described as a slender upright stone (H 1.55m) of sandstone which is roughly rectangular-shaped in plan (T 0.1m at base; T 0.08m at top; Wth 0.4m) and is orientated ENE-WSW on its long-axis . Top of stone appears to have broken off, as indicated by a clean fracture. Erosion around base of stone, probably caused by cattle using it as a scratching post.
