Standing stone in Lios Deargáin: A tall stone once rose beside Lisdargan, watching the low land around Trabeg. It has fallen or been broken, leaving a broad boulder and scattered fragments in the earth. The place still holds the shape of what was lost, waiting for someone to remember why the stone stood there.

On the 1st edition of the OS map a 'Gallaun' is marked immediately S of Lisdargan village, on the S slopes of Croaghskearda overlooking the lowlying land that surrounds Trabeg. It was described as standing 5 feet (1.5m) tall (OSNB Cloghane, book 2, 12). Though not marked on the 2nd edition, the site is now occupied by a large earthfast boulder, 2.5m long x .8m high and wide; 2m to S are 2 fragments of stone, c. 0.6m x .5m, with a 3rd lying buried in between. These may represent broken pieces of the standing stone and packing stones, but this is not certain. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
