What is recorded here

In pasture, on a S-facing slope with views SSW to Torc Mountain. The stone (dims. 0.85m x 0.4m; H 1.05m) is roughly rectangular in plan, leans slightly to the SW and is orientated NNE-SSW. Likely dating to the Late Neolithic or Bronze Age, this standing stone may have had ritual or territorial significance. Its orientation and position on a south-facing slope could reflect astronomical or landscape alignment practices.
