What is recorded here
Knocknakilla holds a six-foot stone in Denis Buckley's land, standing one quarter mile from Dan Dennehy's pair. Broker measured its five-foot girth in 1937, yet the exact spot has slipped from memory. The three stones may have marked a boundary, a meeting place, or a warning about invisible angles. They still protrude through the grass, waiting for someone to notice the pattern they kept.
Broker (1937, 30) recorded standing stone in Denis Buckley's land '....6 feet high and 5 feet in girth; one quarter mile from Dan Dennehy's alignment of two standing stones (6557) in same townland'. Exact location not known.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Probably dating to the Neolithic or Bronze Age, this standing stone may have been part of a ritual or territorial landscape, potentially linked to the nearby alignment recorded by Dan Dennehy. Such stones often held symbolic or ceremonial significance in prehistoric communities.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
