Knockbarry holds a rectangular standing stone rising 1.08 metres from level pasture, its long axis pointing north-south like a quiet arrow. The stone may have marked a boundary, a burial or a meeting place, yet no human name survives to claim it. Its sharp edges and steady height suggest deliberate placement rather than natural collapse. In a county crowded with legendary hills and drowned churches, this small stone refuses spectacle and waits for attention instead.
