What is recorded here

Knockavaddra held a small standing stone, two feet seven inches high and two feet four inches wide, on land belonging to D. Cremin. Bowman measured it in 1934, but the exact spot has slipped from local memory. The stone may have marked a boundary, a burial, or a warning, yet even that purpose has faded. What remains is a shape large enough to touch and small enough to lose, waiting in the grass for someone to remember why it stood.

Bowman (1934, 547) recorded standing stone on D. Cremin's land, '...2ft 7in high by 2ft 4in wide'. Exact location not known.
