What is recorded here

Kilpatrick stands as an irregular stone on an east-facing slope, its long axis pointing northwest to southeast. It rises just over a metre from the pasture, small enough to overlook yet distinct enough to mark the land. People may have gathered there to watch the sun clear the horizon or to leave a promise behind the rock. The stone remains patient while the grass and memories change around it.
