Standing stone in Killaha West

In rough pasture, on a level area on the NW-facing lower slopes of Killaha Mountain, overlooking Kenmare Bay to the N. This standing stone (1.65m x 0.6m; H 1.05m) is irregular in shape and roughly trapezoidal in plan and is orientated N-S. There is a possible standing stone-pair (KE093-046----) c. 80m to the SE. Probably dating to the Bronze Age, this standing stone may have had a ritual or territorial function, possibly linked to landscape orientation or early farming activity in the area. No specific folklore or detailed local tradition is recorded for this site.
