What is recorded here
Kilbreedy stands fifteen feet tall on a south-facing slope, its limestone body bulging at the ends and tapering to a point. The shape suggests human hands, yet the indentation near the top resists easy explanation. Whatever purpose it served, rain and time have worn the edges smooth. The stone remains visible in pasture, marking a boundary between memory and forgetting.
In pasture, on a S-facing slope. A weathered limestone upright (Wth 0.6m; T 0.5m; H 1.47m), with its long axis aligned E-W. Its side profiles (N & S) are rectangular and taper slightly towards the top, but its end profiles (E & W) bulge towards the centre and come to a point at the top. An indentation on the top, near its E end, appears to be a natural occurrence.
