What is recorded here

Inchantotane holds a three-foot-nine-inch standing stone on John Shine's land, recorded by Bowman in 1934 but lost to exact memory. The stone may have marked a boundary, a burial or a warning, yet even its position has slipped from human knowledge. What remains is a tall shadow in North Cork, waiting for someone to remember why it stood.
