Gortinreagh holds a broken stone marker in good land, likely damaged around 1977 rather than lost to antiquity. The field survey recovered what the official maps refused to show, pulling a human-made feature back into view through direct observation. The stone may have marked a boundary, a burial or a local story now forgotten, but it still stands tall enough to resist complete erasure.

A small stump of stone is said to be the remains of a standing stone not marked on the OS 6-inch maps. It is believed to have been broken c. 1977.
