What is recorded here

Killarney National Park now contains the site, but the stone predates that boundary by centuries. A triangular upright, one metre high, leans west on a boggy slope beneath Mangerton Mountain. It may have marked a boundary, a burial, or a prayer, yet no human hand has touched it for generations. The hill pasture and trackway have changed around it, but the stone remains tilted and patient, waiting for someone to remember why it was set.

In rough hill pasture and bog, on a gentle S-facing slope, on the E side of a trackway on the lower slopes of Mangerton Mountain. An upright stone (dims. 0.55m x 0.35m; H 1m) triangular in elevation, tilting slightly toward the W and orientated NNE-SSW. This stone is located within the Killarney National Park.
