No visible trace remains of the standing stone in Gleann Na Huamha, though it once rose five feet above level ground near a Glennahoo tributary. That sudden disappearance transforms a forgotten marker into a living mystery, inviting imagination rather than certainty.

There is no visible trace of the 'Gallaun' marked on the 1st edition of the OS map and described as 'about 5 feet (1.5m) high and 3 (.9m) thick' (OSNB Stradbally, 20).
