What is recorded here

Freemount holds a standing stone measured at three feet five inches high on John Foley's land. The exact spot has vanished, but the dimensions remain sharp enough to build in your mind. A tall rectangular block rises from forgotten soil, perhaps marking a boundary, a burial or a warning. People walked past it for generations before recording it, and forgetting it does not erase the shape it kept upright.

Bowman (1934, 626) recorded standing stone on John Foley's land, '...3ft 5in high, by 3ft 8in by 2ft 1in'. Exact location not known.
