Standing stone in Farranfadda still leans through rush-covered bog beside the Coomhola River, its rectangular shadow stretching across grazing land. People may have set it where the valley could be judged at a glance, marking boundary, burial or warning. However long it has stood, the stone keeps doing that simple work: giving the uncertain land a point where memory can gather.

On rough rush-covered grazing, on bog on a S-facing slope on the W side of the valley of the Coomhola River. This standing stone (1.23m x 0.4m; H 1.75m) is rectangular in plan and irregular in section and is orientated NNE-SSW.
