What is recorded here

Farranfadda still holds a rectangular stone leaning north on a south-facing slope, facing the Cooleenlemane valley. It measures about 1.3 metres high and 1.2 metres wide, set in pasture rather than hidden by age. People may have stood beside it to mark a boundary, remember a loss or watch the river light change. The stone does not need a name to keep doing that work.

In pasture, on a S-facing slope with a view to the valley of the Cooleenlemane River. This standing stone (1.2m x 0.5m; H 1.3m) is rectangular in plan and is orientated E-W. The stone leans to the N.
