What is recorded here

Ten feet of stone stood on Mulcahy's farm in Fahalea before men blew it to powder. The ground has changed hands since then, but the memory left with the fragments. What remains is an empty field where a tall shadow once pointed at the sky.

According to O'Leary (1918, 124) 'a pillarstone, 10' [3m] high, on Mulcahy's farm, was blown up'. The land here was formerly owned by Mulcahys but is now in different ownership.
