Standing stone in Curreeny Commons

Situated in modern coniferous plantation on an ENE-facing slope of poorly drained land in an upland region with good views from NW-N-E-SW. A standing stone (H 1.161m; 0.7m x 0.47m) which is rectangular in plan and shape with its long axis orientated NW-SE and tapering towards the top. Two prostrate slabs immediately to the NE may have been associated with the standing stone and may have been knocked down during tree planting.
