Mortally ill men were carried to the standing stone at Curraheen. They touched its smooth skin, drank water from a nearby basin, and walked home restored. The stone stands in open pasture, angled toward the northern and eastern horizons, still waiting for the next weary traveller who believes touch can rearrange fate.

In pasture with commanding views to N and E. Subrectangular stone aligned NW-SE (H 1.27m; 0.98m x 0.91m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
