What is recorded here

Coulagh is a standing stone in County Cork. It stands in a place where more than half the sky is visible at once. That much sky may have mattered when it was set upright. The stone still points into that wide distance like a marker for someone who needed to see far.

In pasture with good views in every direction. Lozenge-shaped stone aligned NE-SW (H 1.85m; 0.85m x 0.4m). (O'Brien 1970, 18).
