Bolus mountain drops east toward Kenmare Bay, and somewhere in that rough pasture a standing stone still holds its shape. It rises 1.35m, tapers to .7m at the top, and stands near a stone row and a fallen companion, yet no map has troubled itself to mark it. The absence is the interesting part: a place important enough to shape, align and remember, but not important enough to name.

Not marked on the OS maps, this possible standing stone is located in fairly rough pastureland on the E slopes of Bolus mountain, overlooking the mouth of Kenmare Bay. It is of regular elevation and has maximum measurements of 1.35m x 1m x .35m; E-W. It tapers to a width of .7m at the top. A stone row (KE097-038----) and a fallen standing stone (KE097-039----) are located a short distance to NE. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
