Standing stone in Ceann Trá

Situated on the SW slopes of Caherard Hill, overlooking Ventry Harbour, this large upright slab stands .9m high and is 2.55m long and .25m thick; NNE-SSW. Though the surrounding hill slope is strewn with rock outcrop and loose boulders, this one appears to have been deliberately set standing. The above description is derived from J.
